20 pieces of interesting type

Bit of cliche cheesy design. To be honest I kind of like the idea of making images out of fonts it's just the relevance of a swan on a leaflet for Leeds Castle just seems a little odd to me.  I think if the swan was more appropriate this would work so much better.
"U" and "O" and "W" and "M"  I pass these little leaflets about train times every morning and every time I look at the routes all I can see are letters...It gets quite annoying because the letters never amount to a word, this REALLY bugs me.  I might have to collect a lot of them and try to make a word up.  Mabye even an alphabet.

Toilet humour...I think so

Found this in the girl's toilets in the design block found it quite funny to see such an offensive word written in such a pretty font.  Helps to take away from the actual meaning of the word because it just looks pretty you the eye.  We see the word before we read it and make an assumption.  It's something i want to explore in my in my 100 collages:
This is a version of a similar theme in which I have taken a word used to offend and shock and made it so small on the A6 page that it doesn't stand out at all forcing the reader to have to go right up to the image to read it.  I just like the idea of manipulating the viewer in this way.

Welcome

Welcome to my new blog "Bits'n'Bobs".  It's a blog set up for my fdA design for communication course that I am currently taking at LCC.
I'm hoping this blog will act a virtual portal into the way my mind works.  Fingers crossed you like what you see.
In the mean time heres my flickr account link:
it should give you a quick insight into what kind of work I make.  All of the work is from my A level studies, foundation and work i made for fun.
